Marcya "Marcy" Levin Connell-Johnson, resident of Chesterfield, Missouri, passed away on December 16, 2024. Marcy was born in Los Angeles, California to Helen and Melvin Levin. She spent her childhood in Chicago, Illinois where she graduated from Senn High School. Marcy attended the School of Nursing at Northwestern University before transferring to Parsons College in Iowa. After graduation, Marcy moved to Chicago and later to St. Louis, where she met and married her husband, David Johnson.
Marcy took great pride in her decades of working in the medical field, particularly her time working alongside Dr. Alexander Marchosky. Marcy was an active member of Hadassah and a proud member and volunteer for the Democratic Party. Marcy also maintained lifelong friendships from Chicago and St. Louis with whom she enjoyed bowling and playing Mah Jong.
Nothing gave Marcy more joy than her three children and their families, attending numerous graduations, weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, daily phone calls, trips and impromptu dance parties.
Marcy is survived by her devoted husband, David Johnson; sister Andrea Parnes (Howie); children Joshua Connell (Wendy), Gabriel Connell (Michelle) and Megan Flom (Jonathan). Additionally, Marcy’s legacy lives on through her adoring grandchildren; Isabelle, Emily, Ava, Halle, Zack, Lexi, Leo, Chloe, and Sam. May her memory be a blessing.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 19 at 10 AM at Congregation Shaare Emeth, 11645 Ladue Road at Ballas. Please see below for Live Stream details. Private burial follows.
