Marcella Theresa Taylor

Fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Marcella Theresa Taylor, age 89, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022. Marcella was born December 6, 1932 to Henry and Loretto (nee Gahan) Sprenger whom have preceded her in death along with her daughter Mary Rosenkoetter. Marcella is the last of her six siblings.

Marcella is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, William G. Taylor. She also leaves behind her children, Bill (Karen) Taylor, Mike Taylor, Marcella (Pat) Duchinsky and her son in law, Rick Rosenkoetter. Marcella was a loving grandma to David (Katie) Duchinsky, Theresa (Greg) Carlwood, Ryan Taylor, Kyle (Andrea) Taylor, Matthew and Jonathan Rosenkoetter, and one great granddaughter, Theory Carlwood. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Marcella dedicated her life to raising her children and creating a home. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and left memories of baking anise cookies at Christmas, and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. She spent time meeting with friends while walking the local shopping malls and enjoying a good cup of coffee. Marcella gave of herself and volunteered at her daughter’s school working with special needs children.

A Memorial Mass for Marcella will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church, 4200 Ripa Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63125. Immediately following the service, Marcella will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
