Mabel Elizabeth Richardson

She was born on a farm outside Swiss, Missouri on May 1st of 1923, the second of three daughters born to George and Elsie Mueller. After completing her education in a one-room schoolhouse in rural Missouri, she went on to attend beauty school. She worked most of her life as a beautician and after a period of time opened her own salon. In 1957 she married Wyman D. Elliott, Jr. and they had one daughter, Mary Elizabeth. In 1991 she married Robert W. Richardson. She loved traveling, doing artwork, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kind, patient spirit and her unfailing generosity to others.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Woodring of Eagle River, Alaska; her stepchildren, Shawn Richardson of Wasilla, Alaska and Dawn Hayworth of St. Louis, Missouri; five grandchildren, Nathaniel, Julia, and Jason Woodring and AJ and Zackary Hayworth. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, George and Elsie Mueller, and her sisters, Agnes Haeffner and Lorraine Elmore.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 11th from 5 to 8pm at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa St. Louis MO 63109.

Her funeral will be held on May 12th at 10am at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ, 6520 Arsenal Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63139.
