Beloved husband of Suzanne “Suzie” (nee Cracchiolo) Fragale; Devoted father of Nicholas (Emily) Fragale, Joseph Vincent Fragale, Nina Fragale-Horton (Robert) and Frank (Kari) Fragale; Cherished grandfather of Kaya, Odin, Salvatore, Luca, Vincenzo and Teresa; Cherished son of Virginia (Lanasa) Fragale and the late Joseph Fragale; Dear brother of Laurie (Andrew) Bova, Gina (Dave) Gentilini, Joanna (George) Kressaty and Toni Fragale; dear uncle, cousin and friend to all.
Joe retired from Spire where he spent many years as an IT Project Manager.
He was called to become a deacon and was ordained in 2014. Deacon Joe was passionate about his service to the poor, establishing the St. Ambrose Society which serves those in need throughout the St. Louis area and is managed by many dedicated parishioners from St. Ambrose.
He also loved the game of soccer and was a coach for many years; he enjoyed the simple things in life, laughing, cooking, spending time with his family for Sunday dinners and especially making his own salsiccia with his sons.
Deacon Joe touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 3rd from 8:30 am – 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 5130 Wilson Ave. at Marconi, St. Louis, MO 63110 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe’s memory to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
