He is survived by his children, John (Ann) Reinhold, Fred (Mary Ellen) Reinhold, Jerry (Judy) Reinhold, Mike (Nancy) Reinhold, Janet (Mike) Van, Steven (Anne Marie) Reinhold, the late Charlene (Mike) Buckley, Tim (Elaina) Reinhold, Barbara Reinhold, and Thomas (Julie) Reinhold; dear friend, Kevin Smythe, who John was a father figure to; thirty two grandchildren; thirty nine great grandchildren; his loving dog Beethoven (aka Buddy); sister-in-law, Beverly Wagner; nephews; nieces; cousins; and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara (nee Heidenreich) Reinhold; his wife of seventy-three years, Jacqueline Reinhold; daughter, Charlene Buckley; grandsons, Mikey and Joey Van; great grandson, Daniel Schmittgens; his sisters, Bernice Frickel, Doris Kuehn, and Shirley “Chicky” Dunn; his twin sister, Laverne Riely; and brother-in-law, Michael Wagner.
Dad was a very proud and hardworking man who prioritized supporting his family the best he could. He loved his family deeply and was always willing to help anyone in need.
He retired from Allen Foods where he worked in the warehouse. He was a very proud Teamster Local 688 member. He enjoyed fishing and was truly the life of the party everywhere he went. He lived at Red Oak Resort in Camdenton, Missouri for the past twenty-five years enjoying the life of a retired man, making new friends, and having a good time.
To know John was to love John. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. Fly straight, Dad.
A visitation for John will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road,
St. Louis, MO 63125.
A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 10:00 AM at
St Francis of Assisi Church, 4556 Telegraph Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129.
In lieu of flowers ,donations appreciated to Shriners Hospital of St.Louis, 4400 Clayton Road,St Louis, MO 63110 in memory of John.
Burial will follow at St. Trinity Cemetery.
