John W. Partin, II, 81, passed away suddenly Monday, November 28, 2022. Son of the late John W., I & Anne (nee Fox) Partin and brother of the late Connie (Joe) Trebbe, Jo ("Swany") Swigart, and "Mike" Ridge, he is survived by his long time companion Linda Turnquist, daughter Kristina (Charlie) Immekus and "step-daughter" Lisa (Jerry) Wheeler; grandchildren Kayla Duffy, Charley (Josh) Hedges, and Shaneesa Immekus and "step-grandchildren" Marissa and Brenden; and former husband of Mary Partin.
A 1959 graduate of Pittsburg High School, Mr. Partin went on to earn his Bachelor's degree. He joined the U.S. Navy, where he served for 24 years, attaining the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. His service included tours during the Cuban Blockade, Vietnam, the Iranian Hostage Crisis, and even rescuing Vietnamese in the middle of the ocean. Following his Navy career, Mr. Partin was a St. Louis County Police Officer and a Probation & Parole Officer.
He was a member of the Benjamin Fuller American Legion Post No. 64, where he had been a member for over 50 years and the 59er's Club in Pittsburg. In St. Louis, he was Past Commander of American Legion and a member of VFW and the FRA.

Funeral service n Pittsburg, KS 11am Saturday, December 10, 2022 Brenner Mortuary (www.brennermortuary.com) followed by burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
