Janet was the loving daughter of the late John E. Barnes and the late Sara M. (nee Engstrom) Barnes; dear sister of the late Fredric R. (Donna) Barnes, the late John E. (the late Ruth) Barnes, Jr., the late Harriet E. (the late G. Robert) Greweling, and the late Ruth (the late William) Davies; cherished aunt of John E. (Leslie) Barnes, III, Nancy (Arthur) Heller, Dennis Barnes, William (Polly) Davies, Timothy (Lynn) Davies, Betsy (George) Glosik, Robert (Sara) Greweling; dear great-aunt, cousin, and friend to many in her lifetime.
Janet continued the strong aviation pattern in her family as an international first class flight attendant for 27 years, flying TWA in the swinging 60's through the 80's. She kept her family across the country on their toes with her surprise visits and exotic gifts, and was able to share many memorable trips both domestic and international with her mother. Janet was an avid collector of fine china, crystal, and all things fancy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Janet's memory to the Ronald McDonald House or Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated by her family.
