Son of the late Thomas and Julia (nee Burke) Andert; cherished uncle of Thomas (Mary), Mark, Stephen (Helen), Sr. Joan SSND, Gerry (Julia), John, and Bob (Pat) Andert, Edward (Frank) Stobart, Francine (Mike) Dawson, Margaret (the late Larry) Makorow, Jane (Mark) Buckley, Daniel W. Andert, Karen (Shawn) Wallace, Lisa (Timothy) Milliano; Pat (Stuart) Valentine, Jeanne Jacober, Fran (Bill) Lucchesi, and Susan (the late Tom) Davis; grand-uncle and great-grand-uncle, great-great grand-uncle, cousin, and a friend to many.
Jack was preceded in death by his siblings Clare J. Andert, Thomas (the late Delores) Andert, Mary (the late Leo) Kaczerowski, James (the late Mary Ann) Andert, Jane (the late John ) Bernstetter, and Dan (the late Inez) Andert.
Jack graduated from McBride High School in 1948. He served in the Army National Guard, Reserve of the Army National Guard, Reserve of the Army for nine years, earning the military award of Marksmanship Badge with Bars. He enjoyed retirement from a lengthy and hard-working career at Sears, where he was known for his many practical jokes played on the freight truck drivers. In his spare time, Jack enjoyed gardening, outdoor walks and sketching.
