

Ed is survived by and will be forever cherished in memory by his beloved wife of thirty-two years, Veronica Hoffman, and his loving sisters, Ellen Meade and Nancy Fenton. He was a loving son-in-law to Helen and Bernard Lueck, and a brother-in-law to, Mike Meade, Don Fenton, Autumn and Merritt Widen, Lishia and Timothy Hassell, and Makai and Rick Genovese. He was an adoring uncle to Adam Wolf Widen, Michael Meade, Melissa Metteer, Megan Hughes, Melanie Wiese, Lori Hoffman, Donnie Fenton, Matthew Fenton, Elizabeth Lewis, and a great uncle to Kate, Ally, Mya, Mason, Madison, Jamison, Maxwell, Magnolia, Brianna, Dylan, Donnie “Doc”, and Ellie. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Ed, was a native of St. Louis, Missouri and a U.S. Marine with a gentle soul and a generous heart, who loved God, his family, and had a strong passion for helping those in need, art, music, traveling and sports. He was a natural athlete who’s favorite pastimes included playing hockey, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, waterskiing, wrestling, and working out, to name just a few. He also loved fishing, surfing, boating, and fast cars. He had a successful career in the Radiation Protection field and Project Management on the various Manhattan Project deactivation and demolition projects in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
A visitation for Ed will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. An additional visitation will occur Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Ed will be laid to rest following the service at Mount Hope Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125 where he will receive full military honors for serving in the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS.
