Born on September 11, 1964, Duane was a man of diverse passions and a willingness to explore the world around him.
Duane was preceded in death by his beloved father, Karl E. Braun, whom he deeply admired, as well as his grandparents, Karl A. Braun and Evelyn Clark.
He leaves behind a cherished family who will forever hold him in their hearts. Duane is survived by his loving mother, Phyllis I. Braun (nee Ferrell), and his daughters, Brittani Allen (nee Braun) and Olivia (Kyle) Nunnally. As well as three grandchildren, Riley, Nathan, and Selena.
As a worker, of a quarter-century to the craft of automotive assembly at the Chrysler plant, he contributed to the creation of countless vehicles. Throughout his life, Duane found joy in the music of Elvis and Johnny Cash, whose melodies often filled his home with warmth. Yet, his interests extended far beyond the realm of music.
Duane was a true daredevil at heart, finding excitement in activities such as
hot-air-ballooning and swimming. His adventurous spirit knew no bounds, and he was always eager to try new experiences, approaching life with a fearless enthusiasm that inspired those around him.
A devotee of teenage bodybuilding, he triumphed in competitions, securing victories in the top-two spots a remarkable five times within the fiercely competitive teens category.
He also dedicated eight years to the vibrant world of drum and bugle corps, rising to the position of lead drummer, entertaining countless audiences with captivating performances in numerous parades.
Duane's absence will be felt by all who knew him. Though he departed this world too soon, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
In honoring Duane's adventurous spirit and love for life, let us remember him not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the joy and light he brought into our lives.
May he rest in peace, forever.
