I had so many memorize I don't know witch one to talk about, but I remember granny always was lookn out for people she called me many times to find out if my family needed anything like veggies or bread she volunteered at a food pantry and I would say thank u for thankn of us granny but we're fine and she would say aww "feddle poop" or something like that lol , and she would say ur not rich u have a lot of kids up there come and get this stuff and she would loud us up. She would always let me know of any ways I could save money. I miss the times of setting in the kitchen and listen to all ur families dirt lol granny loved all of ya's so much.

Lonnie, Karen and family, I am so sorry for your loss.  Aunt Dorothy was a very sweet person.  

My greatest memory of her is when we would come to visit her and Uncle George she always had a little Chihuahua, as a kid I always thought it was the very same dog, I'm not really sure how many she had throughout her life, but she loved those little dogs and treated them like a little baby.   The funniest story I remember about her dog is that one time we were in Arkansas visiting  grandpa Wright, and Uncle George and Aunt Dorothy were there. Of course she had her little dog with her.   She had put an open can of dog food in a dish and put it in the frig.  That night my grandpa fixed dinner and we all ate.  Later, Aunt Dorothy could not find her dog food in the frig, my grandpa said "was it in a dish?"  She said "yes" and he said "oh I put that in the green beans!"  I was very glad I did not eat any green beans!

The name Dorothy has a lot of meaning for those of us who grew up on Poepping Street. To me it means loving, caring, full of life, sharing past experiences, giving, and laughter to name a few. I have many cherished memories of Ms. Wright and her family. She always welcomed you with open arms.  I will never forget all the good times we had with her and Deanna.  The time passes quickly but it is the memories that stay with us. Warm thoughts and happy days ahead are wished for you and your families.
