Dear Carol and George,

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.  The words of hymn 53 "Everlasting arms of love are around, beneath, above..." will have extrra meaning for you now.  Know that my arms of love are surrounding you too.  I am sorry that I was unable to attend the service for David.  I will always remember his kindness and gentle nature.  Carol, write or call anytime
George, remember that nothing can take your father's love away from you.

When I think of David, the first thing that comes to mind is the most warm, genuinely kind and welcoming smile. He obviously has a very full heart! I am grateful to have known him and bless him with great love as he continues on his way.

David's humble, steadfast, selfless, and generous service to church, camp, and community was greatly appreciated and is an example for us all to follow.  Thank you David for your work and for showing us how to go about ours!

Hey, big brother!  You once told me all you wanted was a family.  I am so grateful you found your family.  I will always remember you being the Easter Bunny on your wedding day and how many times were you Santa Claus?  Following in Dad's footsteps weren't you?  You have the biggest heart, always loving, always helping, always making others smile.  I still hear you talking like Mickey Mouse when my kids were small.  You quiet gentle ways will be a shining example for us all.  As Paul says, 'you've just gone fishing!'  And how you loved to fish!  You because you will always be with me.  I love you dearly.

Whenever I mention David's name, the person always says, "Oh yes, he is the really friendly Security Officer."  He expressed so much joy, and I love the fact that joy is eternal and he will continue to express it, and we will continue to feel it.  Love to the family.

Campus Security was very fortunate to have David with us as he inspired all of us to do our best and brought to the department a great sence of joy and love. He has now moved on to know that there is no death, there is only life. We still will miss him and think of him often.

David set the standard for welcoming people to the Principia College campus.  He expressed a wonderful balance of quiet humor, graciousness, a gentle love of his fellowman, and support for order and Principle.  Everyone loves him and sends much love to his family.

Although David and I worked only a short time together, I saw his love and compassion for his faith, family and work; and I was just beginning to see and enjoy his wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed, but we know he continues on.....
