Carl William Martin

MARTIN, Carl W., 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Dear son of the late Lyle and Emma (nee Hartmann) Martin; dear brother of Jean (late Emanuel) Buelter and Joyce (Art) Wernle; dear uncle of Thomas (Katie) Buelter, Roger (Kristi) Buelter, Barbara (Timothy) Thayer, Beverly (Rick) Mallard, Pamela (Mark) Moynahan, Carolyn (Timothy) Garbe; great uncle of 12 and friend to many.

Born in Berea, OH, Carl graduated from Washington University School of Architecture and served in the US Army. He worked for Frederick Dunn-Archtect and at Hellmuth-Obata-Kassabaum. He was an Architectural Specification Writer at Sverdrup and HBE Corporations and was a member of the American Institute of Architects and of the Construction Specification Institute. A faithful member of Central Presbyterian Church, he served the Lord as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, and Elder. Carl lived his life knowing that God’s promises are true.

SERVICES: Private interment Bellerive Heritage Gardens. The family will receive friends at 10am until time of service at 11am on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Central Presbyterian Church 7700 Davis (corner of Hanley). In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the church.
