In loving memory of Bow F. Leong, 87, who passed away on January 2, 2024. Bow was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, and esteemed colleague. He was born in Guangdong (Canton), China and grew up in New York City. After earning a college degree in aeronautical engineering, Bow served in the United States Army, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant Specialist 2nd Class. Following his military tenure, he dedicated over 50 years to McDonnell Douglas and Boeing in St. Louis, retiring in his 70s as a draft engineer, most notably working as a designer on the F/A-18 Hornet fighter aircraft.
Bow exemplified hard work, dedication to family, and life-long learning. He instilled the importance of education in his children and grandchildren. Bow loved to travel, especially going on cruises with his wife. His green thumb was evident in the vegetable and flower garden he tended to with loving care.
Those continuing to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 60 years, Shuk Leong, and his daughters, Linda (Kenn) Luecke and Marian (Glenn) Clausen, as well as his grandsons, August Luecke and Kevin Clausen.
Visitation at Kriegshauser Mortuary West at 9450 Olive Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63132 from 10:00-11:00am on January 17, 2024. Service to follow at 11:00am. Bow will be laid to rest at Bellerive Gardens Cemetery in St. Louis, MO where he will receive military honors.
