Ben was the cherished husband of 56 years to Mary (nee' Doherty) Eldridge; loving father of Christina (James) Elders, Sarah (Michael) Wyman, Patricia (Brian) Miller, Dennis Eldridge, Timothy Eldridge, and the late Mark Eldridge; doting grandfather of Emeria, Billy, Paul, Lila, Lincoln, and Judah; dear brother of Joseph Eldridge, Mary (Richard) House, Margaret (the late Harry) Miller, Raymond (Cheryl) Eldridge, James (Barbara) Eldridge, Jane (Michael) Jones, Grace (David) Cassidy, Donald Eldridge, and the late Leo (Dee Ann) Eldridge; dear brother-in-law of Laurie (Anthony) Jennewein, Cathy (Edward) Koch, Maureen (Donald) Engelmeyer, John (Barbara) Doherty, and Frances (Patrick) McGinnis; uncle, great-uncle, and a friend to many.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3 from 9-10am at Saint Mary Magdalen in the City on South Kingshighway at Bancroft 63109. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am. Interment with Full Military Honors will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
