Ann Marie Sanders

Beloved wife of the late Raymond Joseph Sanders, Jr.; Dear mother of Ricky (Jennie) Sanders, Gene (Joanie) Sanders, the late Kenny Sanders and the late Lynn Marie (Danny) Alexander; Adored grandmother of Tara Sanders (Jennifer Foster), Jennifer (Lou) Graham, Jacob (Bailey) Sanders, Sheri (Dave) Hamm, Nick (Nadia) Sanders, Joseph (Abby) Sanders, Kali (Darryl) Salazar and Kenny Sanders (Jill Dames); Loving great-grandmother of Penelope, Eloise, Jacob, Brody, Scarlett, Summer, Julian, Owen, Hudson, Emry and Vada; Dear sister of Carolyn (late Tom) Boyd and Louis (Barb) Puricelli; dearest aunt of Annie, Gina and Mark.

Ann was a deeply devoted and religious person, attending daily mass at St. Ambrose. Once she moved back to The Hill she maintained her friendships with classmates from grade school. She was the biggest Cardinals Baseball fan, never missing a game, she loved to read and she was an excellent Italian cook, famous for her risotto. Ann would have family holiday celebrations every year where the entire family would get together and hand make ravioli together, which was a tradition in her family for over 100 years. She was a kind and generous woman and will be deeply missed by her family and everyone who knew her.

Visitation, Thursday, August 22nd from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Calcaterra Funeral Home, 5140 Daggett Ave.; St. Louis, MO 63110. Funeral Mass, Friday, August 23rd, 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with a visitation at church from 9:00 am until time of Service.

If desired, donations in Ann’s name may be made to the Sick and Elderly Program of the Hill or to the ASPCA.
