Dear Del Pico Family,
I am so sorry for your loss and so grateful to have met your Dad. We attended mass every Saturday morning until a few months ago and he would always carry up the gifts with me at mass at Sacred Heart, it was kind of our special time each week. I will so miss him and his gentle kindness and smile. May God comfort each of you in knowing what a true soldier of Christ he truly was.

He was my father, my hero, my rock...yet above all, my friend when the world stepped away from me.  We laughed, we smiled, we shared life's secrets together.  I think of horses and mountains when I think of him still.  It was that voice and those "I love you's" that I will miss the most.  I am my father's daughter, and I feel like a little girl today.  I must continue the legacy he left for me to fill.  "When you love someone, tell 'em."  Ok, papa - here's to you forever and ever:  "I love you!!!".  It is said that I shall be receiving many blessings and a blanket of love to be wrapped around me from him now.  Please, Dad - stay with me in that way as I learn to say goodbye in this form.

I met 'Del' when I joined his Automotive Sales team in the fall of 1973.
He was a great team leader and set the highest standards for himself and he expected the same from his employees. A man of high integrity and completely trustworthy. I shall miss him.

Dearest Del Picos,

I know all too well that there are no words, just hugs and prayers, as your Dad would do...  I had the unique honor and pleasure of meeting and ministering to your Dad as a student chaplain in 2006 @ Meramec Bluffs.  He closely followed my journey to become a Board Certified, Catholic chaplain, encouraging me and praying for me during every step of my CPE and M.Div. programs @ Aquinas Institute; always asking for an update when I dined with my Aunt.  His devotion to Mary, Catholicism and Navy veterans were inspirations to many.  His presence will long be missed in the Bluffs community and i will always remember him in my ministry and prayers...

to the Del Pico family, my sincere condolences on the loss of your Dad.  I was blessed with the opportunity to attend a retreat through Sacred Heart with him.  First, I was impressed by his willingness to go on the retreat as an older gentlemen - some at that age might think they don't have a lot more to learn in life.  Next, though he was there for his own spiritual benefit, there was much to be learned just from his example by younger guys like me.  And when he told me that he had been a naval aviator, this guy who by whom I had already been blessed to meet, catapulted to hero status in my book.  Quiet, unassuming, and 100% first class gentleman.  God Bless you paisan!

To the Del Pico Family,

I was very sorry to learn of Del's passing. I worked with him for several years and knew him to be a first class person - thoughtful, caring, gentle, funny, tough - and very competent. He cared about people and he cared about his work. He always had time to explain and teach - I learned a great deal from him.

There are too few people like him in the world today. We have lost another one of "The Greatest Generation" and he will be missed.

A young inexperienced man was hired into Dels "sales family". Having lost his father all too young Del was a guiding light and mentor in many ways. The young man had a home in Kansas and when in the St. Louis area was welcomed into Del's and Pat's home. The new sales hire offered his head as well as his heart intrusting Del to carve out a member of his sales team.I am that young hire I am Dick Adams. Thanks for it all.

So sorry to hear of Del's passing. He and Pat were also my neighbors at Woodcliffe Place. Wonderful people. I always remember Del's compassion and eagerness to help. He was a friend to everyone he met.

Dear Delpico family,
"Del" was a great neighbor to me in Woodcliffe Place subdivision where I knew him and your mom.  They were wonderful people.  He was like a second father, especially when it came to some minor repairs on my house.  He was such a kind and gentle man with a deep faith in God.  May he rest in peace.

Jim and I knew Pat and Al from Ascension for many years. We ran into them in LaQuinta, Ca. at 8 o'clock Mass one year. We had a lovely breakfast, and then went back to our daughters home.
After his move, Jim, Bob Donahue and I visited and had lunch several times. How very proud we all were to watch that parachute jump.
Just remember "that death leaves a heartache no one can heal....but love leaves memories that no one can steal."

Dear Del Pico family
It's hard to express the impact and guidance Del had on me and my career. I owe him so much. He was a wonderful caring mentor and friend. From our lunches together I know how deeply he loved his children, grand children and great grand children. It was truly an honor to have called him boss, mentor and most of all friend. I will miss him and our lunches together at the Lazy River Grill. Those of us who knew him are truly blessed.

Del was a good man and a good friend for many years at SP Co.  I am very sorry to learn of his passing.  I send my condolences to his children, several that I knew from their summer work at Sunnen.   So many memories have come back to me today of our association at work.  many of us will continue to remember him.

I knew Al from 1979 (when I came to work at Sunnen) until his retirement in 1985.  He was respected within the company and in the Automotive Engine Rebuilder market place.  Always exhibited a strong work ethic, and delivered on his promises.  He truly was an embassador for Sunnen.
