It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Merilyn MacDonald (Gagnon) on Nov 17, 2024 at the age of 83.
She was the wife of (the late) Jean-Paul Gagnon, the daughter of (the late) Frederick and (the late) Bertha (Cameron) MacDonald and the sister of Janet (Arnold) Deighan, John (Cynthia) MacDonald and (the late) Clare (Jane) MacDonald, a loving mother to Steven (Carol) and Brian (Nanette) and cherished grandmother to Oliver.
Our mother was surrounded by great family and friends. Sorority nights, Progressive suppers, New Years shenanigans, family passing through or great friends from both near and far just stopping to share a drink and laugh, she loved sharing her time. If not in St-Lambert she was likely at the cottage eyes glued to a hockey game, curling match or some figure skating. Rarely a summer went by without a visit back home to the red sand of Prince Edward Island.
There will not be any service and the interment of ashes will be held in the spring at the Saint Patrice Cemetery, rue des Pins, Magog.
