Sending healing prayers and comfort during this tough time.  Justin was very knowledgeable, witty and always had a smile. I recalled he help me through my journey to get better. We just found out about the passing of Justin, we were shocked and sadden, we would like to extend our deepest and sincerest sympathies to all of Justin's family and Friends. We have great memories of him, always a good kid, he spend a lot of time with Robert and Yasir, they had a lot of good times together.  May he rest in eternal peace

My favourite memory was going to concerts with Justin, and being invited along even when we haven't spoken in a while. We lost touch after College/uni days as I had moved out of town, but I knew that if I were to reach out for another concert, he was a definite yes. He was the easiest to talk to, and we would resume as if we hadn't spent months or years apart. He was that kind of person, to just be so open to company, and so friendly, he made friendships easy and fun.
He will be deeply missed, and I will always look behind me at concerts now as an ode to him, to see if he's still behind me sadly blocking someone else's view. Rest in peace, and I will stay connected through my playlist.

Dear Refilwe, Heidi, and all the friends  and family who loved Justin so much,
It is with a truly heavy heart that I share my condolences with you. Having gotten to know Justin at a few of our MGSS events in the last few years, it was obvious that he was a man of a few words, but truly big heart. He and Refilwe were a beautiful pair together, and I know she loved him to pieces! I can't even begin to imagine the grief you must all be feeling. I hope you can find some strength in the memories you hold dear in your hearts. Please know that your friends in the Mechawar lab and MGSS are here for you and ready to support you in any way we can.

Justin treated my knee and was truly amazing always very encouraging and firm I will forever remember him as a kind and caring young man ❤️

Although we didn't spend much time together, I loved hearing about the adventures Fee and Justin went on together and the genuine care they shared for one another. One of my favourite memories with Justin is this time when we both got excited talking about how good the new Ms Vickies spicy dill flavoured chip was. We were both really big fans haha. I wish things were different, all my love to his loved ones

I never got to meet Justin but I know he made my friend Fee happy, and for that I am so grateful to him.

My love and condolences to everyone going through this loss. 

Justin was one of the first persons that I met in quebec. We met at Concordia doing pre requisites for the physiotherapy program. We also met again while doing night classes at Dawson. Next thing you know we were in the same program at McGill university. Is as if life kept putting us together. Our friendship grew and I have always appreciated him as a person. We also worked together and he made my time at the clinic go by smoother during the pandemic. At many times I was really down and felt despondent and he encouraged me, he always use to tell me, “keep it going”. To this day I say the same catch phrase whenever I feel like giving up. He was truly a good friend, and it makes me sad he is gone. I hope to continue living in memory of that. To persevere and keep going. I miss him and from the bottom of heart I wish all his family members my condolences.

Justin, whom I have known since university, was a close friend. He was someone that I could always come to to speak about whatever was on my mind. I will cherish the great moments I've had with him from sitting in class together, working with him, and hanging out on the weekend. I will always remember our nature walks that we would go for during the pandemic. My deepest condolences to all his family and to Fi.

This is a huge shock and huge loss, I am at a loss for words to be honest.  Justin, Chris and I became friends working out and playing ball at the Y together, memories that I will cherish forever.  We loved talking about life, movies, tv shows, travelling,  work, workouts and all kinds of things . He was an extremely intelligent, funny,  warm and kind hearted soul and we quickly became close friends. He always had an amazing perspective on life, he was a great listener and I always came to him for advice on life and exercise.  I had the utmost love and respect for Justin, he will be greatly missed and was a true mensch in my book.  My deepest condolences to all his family, friends and to Fi and Chris, I am truly sorry for your tremendous loss.  He was far too young and full of life. Love you J! What's going on here? 

Justin was a one of a kind - always up for an adventure and always with a smile. After spending even just one minute with him and Refilwe it was clear how much they loved each other.  It was a privilege to spend fun times with them together, whether it was a picnic, playing pool, going to a workout class, or having a barbecue. One of my favorite memories was debating with him on what the best Seinfeld episodes are - he had a great sense of humor and great taste in sitcoms :) He will be missed but never forgotten.

I worked closely with Justin for the past 2 years. We spoke a lot about movies and he gave me some great recommendations. I always looked forward to my next work day with him to tell him I watched a film he recommended, and we would discuss the movie in detail. We both loved Stranger Things, and he was so excited to tell me when his girlfriend finally watched it, and loved it!
 I remember when his girlfriend and him were fostering a dog to see if it would be a good fit for them to adopt. We spoke about my parents dog, and they even brought him to our work one day for Justin to meet, and to discuss dog ownership. Although Justin was a dog lover, he always listened to me tell him about my cats and tolerated me showing him a bunch of my cat pictures. He was always there to listen to me if I was having a difficult day at work, and he never dismissed my feelings. I will forever cherish these moments. 
My heart is so saddened by the loss of Justin; my sincerest condolences, with love and comfort to Justin's family, girlfriend, and friends. We will remember him always and often.
