It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Georges Paquin (enlever quelque chose ici) who died peacefully at home in Greenfield Park on Wednesday the 24th of November, 21 days before his 103rd birthday.
He will be lovingly remembered as a kind and friendly man, a true gentleman, and perfectly bilingual in French and English.
He leaves his four children Carmen, Richard, Liliane, and Denis (Paula), five grandchildren Grant, Michelle, François, Merrick and Delano, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, nephews and nieces, and several friends in their 90s and 100s.
Born in Montreal, Georges was the eldest of eight children, all of who have preceded him.
Georges attended Feller College in the years 1932-1936 where he met his future wife Thelma Malboeuf (deceased December 1982), who also attended Feller College during the same years from when they were 13 years old, and subsequently met again in their early 20s. They married in April 1943.
His favourite things to do was to visit all the islands of Hawaii (8 times), Caribbean destinations Barbados, Cuba, Jamaica, Tobago, and his winters in Gulfport Florida, line dancing, gardening, wearing good quality Hawaiian shirts and visiting with his friends at the Golden Leaves Greenfield Park.
He had a good life and we were lucky to have him for such a long time.
Covid restrictions has moved to a possible visitation in the spring of 2022.
