A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Betty was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, George Teggin. She will be missed by her surviving children, Georgina and Russell. Betty was predeceased by her youngest son, Paul Teggin. She will be remembered with great affection by her two granddaughters, Jennifer (Matthew) and Alexandra (Eric), and her great grandson, Damien. She will also be deeply missed by her sisters Evelyn and Julie as well as other loved ones across Canada, England, and the US.
Betty was born on April 1st, 1936 in Birkenhead, England. She married in 1957 and started her family before moving to Montreal.
Betty was a talented baker and thoughtful hostess, always ensuring that guests were well-fed. She had a creative side and loved doing crafts, some of which will now be cherished as mementos. She was a golfer and played in a bowling league for many years. A frequent flyer of the Montreal casino, Betty could often be found playing the penny slots. She enjoyed travelling, especially alongside her beloved auntie Madge.
Betty will be fondly remembered for her cheekiness, her wit and her delicious desserts, particularly her famous trifle.
The family would like to thank those who provided care and kindness in her final days.
