Where has a year gone that you are not with us, Donna. 
I often think of our times together as well your funny anecdotes and all of our talks of growing up together as children in Digby, Nova Scotia.  
I miss you always and hope you are at peace in mind and spirit.

My condolences to the friends and family of Donna xx I have a vague memory of going to Vichys buffet every year for her mothers birthday and we could gather and eat wonderful food. She will be missed and I wish nothing but strength to close family members xx

Donna was the best second cousin ever!,who
was more like an older sister than a cousin.
Donna had the energy of a busy honey bee, and the imagination of a playful child.

Fun Memory Lynda,and I 
have of  her…. 
She use to take care of her daughters Christine, Beverly, our cousin Valerie,Lynda,and myself, when we were younger, up at our cottage in the Laurentian’s for a week or two.

She always tried her best to ensure we were busy and having fun enjoying every “country”day. Apart from the daily fun activities,she would set up for us——sometimes for Donna, she thought having fun was also, all of us being more responsible and doing chores!!!( maybe she was right?)
Once when my cousin Valerie rebelled and decided to openly defy Donna’s request of the day—-washing windows, Valerie also openly  taunted Donna and then ran-off,thinking she could easily run and hide from our  Cuz Donna”.She did not know Donna was not only quick of wit, but she ran like a roadrunner!!-She chased Valerie around the cottage,up a steep hill to finally catch our mischievous Valerie, and face the wrath of double duty the next day!
From that point on,all of us decided it was best to be more responsible, and take some life lessons from our second cousin- Donna!! ( vs being run down and going into the doghouse!!)

Donna was a loving, playful person with a cheeky imagination who cared about all of her loved ones.
We talked often in recent  years( sadly by phone,due to Covid),to catch up.Unfortunately Donna was not in great health, and while never elaborating about her health, and how she felt emotionally,she was always more interested in how I was doing ,How was my sister?  What was new with my children?..and reminisce about our fun times when we all had more energy as Donna always had.
Lastly, what stood out to me over these past years, whe we would talk, she still had the same energetic , young tone in her voice—- it never left her!!!

To My Dear Sister Donna in Heaven

Well, you never knew you had a brother until a few years ago and that we shared the same birth Father.
What a happy and uplifting thing to discover at this time in our lives.
Because of the pandemic and our health issues it was not possible for us to meet in person, but I cherished the phone conversations we had.
I will always remember our quotes to each other:
Me to you “I’m so glad I found you”
You to me “I’m nothing without you” 
Trust me Donna we will meet in Heaven one day. We will continue our conversations forever.
My deepest love that a brother can give and this is not Goodbye, but will see you soon.

I will miss my niece, Donna.  She was a great homemaker and loved her family.  While living in St. Nazaire, she won best outdoor decorated home for her area often.  As well she was crafty and her costumes, hand sewn won best prize at her local Legion for Co. Sanders and his chicken companion.  
Donna worked as Sgt. at Arms at her local Legion, she also helped with deliveries for the poor while living in St. Nazaire.  Would go on motorcycle rides and enjoyed her get always  to campground.  
Donna never forgot her formative years growing up in Nova Scotia  and Xmas as a young girl with her grandmother, Evelyn. She herself loved seeing her own grandchildren play with and enjoy her Xmas town display.  She was very proud of her daughters Beverly & Christine as well her two granddaughters with their career achievements.  A highlife of her life was a trip to P.E.I. with her daughter and son-in-law to a cottage there.
