Passed away February 8, 2024 in Pierre-Boucher Hospital, Montreal, after a brief illness surrounded by his immediate family. He attended St. Francis, St. Patrick's, St. Mary's, and then onto TUN's to get his civil engineering degree as his father had.
He participated in many sports but his biggest love was basketball. He would spend hours "shooting hoops" on the school grounds and playing basketball at Canadian Martyrs. Brian worked for many years in bookkeeping for businesses in Halifax. Brian and Roula moved to Montreal, and raised James there. He worked for a private ATM business up to the time of his passing. He had a huge love of the Montreal Canadiens, music, nature and photography. He loved to photograph the eagles soaring.
Brian was an amazing and devoted father, partner, brother and friend. He was predeceased by his parents, James Joseph Hernon and Mary Teresa Hernon (McKenna); and nephew, Cory Lawlor. Brian is survived by his son, James Hernon (Roula Giannakos); siblings, Joanne (Bob Lawlor), Susan, Michael (Lisa Cleveland), Carol-Jane (Jose Lopez), Theresa (John Zafiris), Christina, Kathleen (Gregory Flinn), Barbara-Jean (Edward Moxsom), Timothy and Maureen (John Sinclair); also many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. and a celebration of life will be held on Friday February 16th between 5pm and 8pm. at
Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, 307 Promenade Riverside, Saint-Lambert
