Born in Hull England, She joined the RAF at the outset of WW II as a wireless operator at the age of 22. She met our late father André L. Delage from Thetford Mines who was serving with the RCAF and stationed in London, UK at the time. At the war’s end they settled here in Canada where they raised a family of 4 children.
Brenda returned to her native England in 1963 where she began a new life with Robert (Bob) Côté in the City of Bath, where she got a job as secretary to the Matron of the Royal United Hospital. They came back to Canada in 1970 and have been happily married for 59 years. Brenda has always been musically inclined and absolutely loved to sing and play the piano. In recent times, while in a nursing home in St-Lambert, Bob got her a keyboard which gave her much enjoyment. She had a deep love and passion for her animals, both pussycats and dogs and was an active member of the SPCA Montérégie. Brenda leaves to mourn: her four children, Michael (Vicki), Sandra (Albert), Brian (Ann, deceased) and Shirley, 6 grand children: Jason, Darren, Jennifer, Andrew, Timothy, Christopher, 11 great grand children and Bob, the love of her life. The family wishes to thank the CHSLD Saint Lambert sur le Golf for the devoted care over the past 4 years.
A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Greenfield Park on May 20th 2023.
