GLORIA JEANNE GARDNER, Born January 7, 1931 in Shafter California, Gloria passed away at her home in Santa Rosa California on Thursday, November 15, 2012. Passing on before Gloria is her husband Charles Eric Gardner and parents Mark and Marie Husted of St. Helena California. Gloria is survived by her son Brad Gardner (Susan Gardner) of Placerville California, her brother Milton Leon Husted (Sandy Husted) of Sacramento California, and grandchildren Melissa and Chad Gardner (Kelsey Gardner) of Orangevale California. Gloria, affectionately known by some as “Auntie Mame”, will long be remembered for her eclectic style, wry wit and gritty endurance. Gloria was an avid collector of antiques, junque and assorted yet precious finds from many years of hunting throughout Northern California. She and her mother Marie Husted of St. Helena owned several second hand stores, most recently in the 1960’s on Redwood Highway in Santa Rosa. Gloria succumbed to a rare form of breast cancer after a 12 year battle.
