A tribute to Stan Rose

At the reception to honor Stan's Life , it was so full of people that it was hard to find a place. He was loved by everyone. Great athlete, gentlemen,friend and mostly a family man .  A love story between him and Casey "Queen of Two mountains " . Unconditionally love for his 2 boys Dale and Brad .
He would do anything to help them . 
Paul Goyetche pictures and film of Stan's life was nothing short of a master piece. There was a lot of tears flowing in the hall.
Not from the area I met Stan at the old Tartan for a beer about 20 years ago.
He invited me and Mimi to join the gang on thursday night's supper. Good memories! Mimi&Casey hit it off instantly.
Years later, he even missed the Wyder's cup on saturday to attend our wedding . Stan&Casey are a model of how a  family should be.

I prefer to leave out how I feel right now but I'll share a fond memory I have of Stan and Casey. Once                on a beautiful moonlit night I was walking down Oka road towards St.Eustache .   They were parked where the golf course used to be beside the road and we spotted each other so I walked over to greet them and guess what ' they fixed me up a nite cap in the back of their van.                                                       I'd known StanH since 1960 . He was someone I grew with and I have many many memories of him playing pool or the pinball machine  or catching and running with the ball like a gazzelle.He was an amazing athlete and an unusually colourful individual.I'll always be grateful that I got to know him. Firstly,  our deepest condolences from George and I. Stan was my first boyfriend at a silly young age and Casey and I were best friends at the age of 9. You two were a perfect match and you have a lovely family. Take peace with all the fond memories you have.

I have known Stan since 1960,we played in the same LYSA hockey league,we played on the same broomball team for ten years,we played on the same softball team for twelve years 1970-1982,we celebrated some championships at our watering hole the marquise,we worked at the same company canadair together for about 7 years,he was in my wedding party in 1978,he was a great athlete,great guy and the toughest guy I have ever known,great respect,my condolences to Casey,Brian,Dale and Brad also the whole Rose Family,May he Rest In Peace,bobbyb.

Stan was a remarkable guy; always up for any sporting adventure. I first met Stan at Lake Youth Hockey; being a goal tender on a opposing team I saw him smiling a lot . Usually because he’d just passed a bunch of my team on the way to scoring against me....( many goalies have had the same memories)
He was a good guy and left a mark on many .
Trouble is we get old but a family man has children to carry on,  so here’s a wee dram to you Stan...for a life worth living...Cheers...
