Suzanne Longo, affectionately known as Sue or Suzie to many, passed away on April 11, 2025, in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, at the age of 64. Born on August 28, 1960, in Detroit, Sue brought warmth, laughter, and light into the lives of everyone who knew her.
Sue had a zest for life and a heart full of love. She enjoyed cheering on her Red Wings, playing cornhole in the backyard, trying her luck at Keno, going out with friends, and taking long walks around her neighborhood. But most of all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her cats who she spoiled them more than she spoiled the rest of us.
She dedicated over 20 years to the L’Anse Creuse School District in food service, where she formed lasting friendships and touched the lives of countless students and coworkers.
Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Longo Jr., and her sister Jan Cerrini. She leaves behind her daughters Nichole (Sean) Porter and Rachel (Patrick) Harris; her grandson Felix Porter, who brought her immense joy; and her siblings Dave (Linda) Carnick, John (Karen) Carnick, Mary (Mike) Patrick, LouAnn (Keith Thum) Fialkowski, Anne (John) Feil, Judith (Mike) O'Shea, and her brother-in-law Steve Cerrini. She was also a proud and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Sue was the kind of person who made every moment count. Her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of Sue’s life will be held at a later date.
