Robert Andrew Galan

Robert Andrew Galan 70, passed away September 19, 2017. He is survived by his loving son Robert (Holly) Galan and sister Patricia Dominski. He will be remembered with love by his grandchildren Robert J. Galan and Abigail Grace Galan. He is also survived by his dear friend and companion Jan Garbarino.

Robert was preceeded in death by his parents Joanne Adamowicz, Sigmund Galan and Henry Wellna and sister Kathleen Galan Cromwell.

He was a retiree of the Xerox Corporation where his work was a significant part his life. He was an active resident of the City of St. Clair Shores for 48 years.

In lieu of flowers his family suggests a charitable donation to the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society (GPAAS). Founded in 1997, whose mission is to serve the Grosse Pointes and neighboring communities as a foster home based, non-euthanasia, organization that finds suitable homes for indoor companion animals that have been abandoned, surrendered or found.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday September 22 in St Lucy Catholic Church, 23401 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, MI 48080.
