Michael Raymond Franckowiak, age 81, of St. Clair Shores, passed away on July 1, 2023. He was born in Harbor Beach, Michigan on January 11, 1942 to his late parents Raymond and Eleanor Franckowiak. Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Alice Franckowiak; loving children: Kirsten Lyn (Mark) Wiley nee Franckowiak, Marc Michael (Katie) Franckowiak; and beloved grandchildren: Zachary Cichon, Jacob Cichon, Julia Franckowiak, and Matthew Franckowiak. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Frieda and Norman Coesfeld, and brothers: Richard and Charles Franckowiak. “Mike” as he was known was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Quick to smile and ready to help anyone at a moment’s notice! He was a Veteran, who served in the U.S. Army and worked hard his entire life until retirement at age 80. He was a fixer; a solver of problems. Mike was a man who had a green thumb and worked magic with beautiful orchids, African violets, and his beautiful yard.
