Marrianne "Mary" Horwath

Marrianne “Mary” Horwath, age 93, passed away on October 4, 2023. She was born in Windber, Pennsylvania on June 1, 1930 to her late parents Philip and Mary Liszczak. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Horwath. She is survived by her loving children: the late David (Donna), Dennis (Joan), the late Lawrence (Helen), Michelle (Joe) McCallister, Cynthia Cornett; dear grandchildren: the late David, Stephen, Mackenzie, Billie Jo, Danielle, Patricia, Blaine, Matthew, Antoinette, Philip; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mary was also preceded in death by her siblings: Helen, Theresa, Sophia, and William. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo, and her church, St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church where she volunteered to count the mass offerings on Mondays. She was very family oriented and enjoyed cooking for everyone. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association. Visitation, Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a memory sharing service at 7:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Funeral Mass, Friday, October 13, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. (Instate 8:30 a.m.) at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 8118 Vernor Highway, Detroit. Burial will follow at Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit.
