Mark Thomas Barnes (affectionately known as “Barney”), age 67, of St. Clair Shores passed away on March 27, 2023. He was born on April 27, 1955 in Detroit, MI to Agnes and the late Willis Barnes. Mark was blessed with a large family and was the third of nine siblings.
Mark was a strong man with a big heart. He never passed up an opportunity to help friends and family. Mark was a jack of all trades in every possible way. Whether your car or home, he knew how to fix any problem. Mark always found community and he was a member of the S.C.S. Moose 1837. One of his greatest joys was being a grandpa. Mark's weekend trips to Chicago to visit his children and grandchildren brought him so much happiness. Mark was a kind, loving man and he will be greatly missed.
Mark is survived by his mother Agnes Barnes; children Mark Andrew (Natalie) Barnes and Erika (Alex) Buellesbach; grandchildren Alexandra and Audrey Barnes; siblings Paul (Cheryl) Barnes, Mary Ann (Bruce) Holley, Margaret (Kent) Prong, Matthew (Connie) Barnes, Bridget Manikas, Andrew (Kristina) Barnes, Sally (John) Hilt and Patricia (Bill) Miller; many nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation is Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 10am until the time of the Funeral Service, 12 noon, at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St Clair Shores, MI 48081.
