Marjorie Edith Walsh (Convery), age 92, of St. Clair Shores, formerly Grosse Pointe Woods passed away July 15. Beloved wife of John J. Walsh (60 years) who preceded her in death, September 3, 2010. She was the loving mother of Elaine (Steve) Upshur, Terrence (Lorrie) Walsh, Jane (Randy) Stephenson, Mary Beth (Matt) Victor and Donald Walsh.
Marge outlived all seven of her siblings. She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Marge was a devoted servant of her Lord, Jesus Christ raising her family and caring for her husband during an extended illness, and serving at Our Lady Star of the Sea and St. Ambrose Catholic Churches. Previously, she worked at Michigan Bell as a switchboard operator and at Jacobson’s in the Toy Department.
Celebration of Marge’s life will be 11:30 a.m. (Mass at noon), Saturday, September 1st, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Grosse Pointe Woods.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Capuchin Monastery in Detroit.
