Lorraine Mary Orosco

Lorraine M. Orosco (nee Bervasilis (Bervas)), age 91, died peacefully October 23, 2014. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 13, 1923 to Spivas and Clara Bervasilis. She worked on the railroads, owned a restaurant, worked as a private cook, worked on the Board of Education and Volunteers for the Aging. She was also a proud member of the U.S. Army and a member of the Amvets. She most recently volunteered her time working in the store at Blossom Heath. She enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, and playing cards. Loving mother of Margaret (Steven) Olsen and the late Gregory A. Deratany. Dearest grandmother of Gregory Deratany, Haskell (Fiance Stephanie Kehr) Canter IV, Jacob M. (Christen) Canter, and Joshua G. Canter. Dear great-grandmother of Zachary Canter, Conner Canter, Katlyn Canter, Skylar Canter, Evan Kehr, and soon to be Baby Girl Canter. Sister of Charlotte Hancock and Glen Keller. She will also be missed by her daughter’s dog, Rose Olsen. A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan on November 7, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.
