Linda Trethewey passed peacefully at home, Friday, March 10, 2023 after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis and breast cancer, surrounded by her daughters and their families along with her baby sis Kelly.
Linda was born in Detroit and claims to have learned her love of family and life from her own parents, Wally and Peggy St. Amand.
Linda lived her life to the fullest, traveling the country with her husband, Jack, their daughters, many friends, and most recently her sister Gail. She attended all her children’s, grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s many events… she was our biggest cheerleader!
She was the “go to” for advice about anything, and she gave it without judgment knowing there was a reason for everything and two sides to every story. She always saw the positivity in things.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Jack Trethewey, her parents and many beloved family and friends. Our angel in heaven is breathing free, playing cards, golfing, and watching over us here on Earth.
She is survived by her daughters: Valerie (Ray) Harvey, Kimberly (Art) Stolecki, and Jackie (John) Cooney. Her grandchildren: Hollie (Jeromy) Keller, Evan Santana, A.J. (Sheena) Stolecki, Jennifer (Kris) Poole, Adam (Alanna) Stolecki, Alison Cooney, Kelsey (Andrew) Cooney, Jack Cooney, and Vance Harvey. Her great-grandchildren: Morgan, Samantha, Gordon, Annabelle, J.R., Nathan, Zoey, Rhodes, Kaia, Trace, and Hunter. She is also survived by her sisters: Gail (Dave) Polidan, Vickie St. Amand, and Kelly St. Amand. Also left to cherish her memory are many treasured nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
She LOVED with all she had and was loved beyond measure.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores.
