Laura Grace Alexander, age 90, passed away on February 23, 2024. She was born on November 5, 1933 in Lyonsdale, New York. Laura is survived by her loving children: Robin (Doug) Vaughan, Wendy (Kevin) Dempsey, Stacey (Bill) Demick, Jody (Joe) Graham; sister: Michelle (the late Mike) Castille; dear grandchildren: Julie (Moe), Erik, Jennifer (Matt), Steve (Sarah), Dave, Nikki (Mando), Joe (Mary), Sarah (Billy), Bryan, Marc (Sarah), Emily, Lauren; and great-grandchildren: Anna, Leah, Maddon, Margot, Olivia, Luke, Nathan, Jack, Abigail, Kayla, Lily, Addison, Evelyn, CeCe. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Mashaw, mother, Elnora Payne, step-father, Norman Payne, and brother, Richard (Joann) Mashaw. Laura worked in the office at Oakland Family Practice for many years, as well as working as a manicurist working well into her 70s. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping, spending time at the cottage, bowling and golfing. Laura had a love of all animals and enjoyed crafts, coloring, painting, traveling, and spending time with her girls. She was a parishioner at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Detroit Dog Rescue. Visitation, Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Burial will follow at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley, Michigan.
