Jane L. Watko D.D.S.

Jane was born August 25, 1953 in Grosse Pointe Bon Secour Hospital to Joanne(Sweeney) and Dr. Edward S Watko. Her childhood was spent with brother Edward(Ed) and sister Patricia(Trish) in St Clair Shores and Grosse Pointe Woods. Jane was a graduate of St Lucy's grade school and attended Dominican High School and graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School in 1971.

Jane graduated from University of Detroit dental school and did post graduate work at University of Rochester. Upon completing the post graduate work she worked in her practice in the Detroit area until 2008. At that time she took a position with the State of Michigan providing dental services in the reform system in west central Michigan.

Jane enjoyed spending time at the family cottage with her sister, nephew, niece and other family members. She was an active member in the Word of Faith Christian Center in Grand Rapids and was looking forward to a church organized ministry trip to provide dental services to the needy in Ghana. Jane also enjoyed singing in the church choir and she completed with honors Bible Training Institute School of Ministry in June of 2010.

Survived by parents Joanne(Sweeney) and Dr. Edward S. Watko, brother Edward(Ed) Watko and wife Cindy(Spencer) and sister Patricia(Trish) Watko. Additional survivors niece Heather(Watko) Allen and husband Jason, grand nephews, Trent and Mack and grand niece due in August, Kate Jane. Nephew Paul Watko and wife Gretchen(Leppert), grand nephews and grand niece, Jack, Maddie and George.

Visitation Friday 4-9 PM at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Services Saturday 12 Noon at the funeral home. An expression of sympathy may be made to Word of Faith Christian Center of Grand Rapids, MI or The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
