Howard Wayne Bruce

Howard Bruce passed away March 10, 2016. He is survived by his brother James of Grand Rapids, his sister Barbara of Fraser, devoted sons Darrin (Jody) of Harrison Township and David (Stacey) of Grosse Pointe Park. He was adored by his grandchildren Austin, Daniella, Zachary and Nicholas. Howard graduated from Highland Park High School. He obtained his tradesman card and had a long career with Ford Motor Company. Howard was a proud member of UAW Local 2280 where he was a well-respected machine repair leader. He trained many apprentices, admonishing them to take pride in their work. Howard was also an entrepreneur – he was part owner of two local bars, Delta Lady in Ferndale and Marcelle’s in Royal Oak. Visitation will be in the Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Avenue, St. Clair Shores, on Monday, March 14th 2:30 to 9pm and Tuesday, March 15th 2 to 7pm. Services will be in the funeral home, on Tuesday March 15th at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research at www.michaeljfox.org.
