Henry (Hank) Velasquez, age 90 passed away January 19. He was born January 19, 1923 in Dallas, Texas and raised in Pontiac, Michigan. Hank was a member of the United States Marine Corp. in the 4th Marine Division from 1940-1945.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 47 years, Helen.
Loving father of Marsha (Thad) Garfield, Bill Griffin, Mike (Doreen) Griffin, Marybeth Griffin, and Mark and Carmen Velasquez.
Beloved Papa of 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Dear brother to Jessie (Chita), Lupe, Del (Ebo), and Rosie
Also, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother Robert Velasquez and sister Angie Muniz.
Memorial service will be held at Grosse Pointe United Methodist Church on Saturday January 26 at 1 pm. 211 Moross Rd. Grosse Pointe Farms 48236.
