Harvey James Donahue age 95, of Eastpointe died on June 9, 2015. He was born on November 28, 1919 in Detroit and was raised in Detroit Michigan, graduated from Cass Tech High School and attended Detroit Institute of Technology in the Aero Engineering Department. Member of Alpha Gamma Upsilon Fraternity. Earned a Private Pilot License at the College at the Old Hartung Airport which is now the East Gate Shopping Center. Entered the Army Air Force as a pilot and was trained to fly B-25 bombers. Survived by his loving wife Margaret for 72 years, his three children; Mary Ann Werschky (Robert), James Donahue (Chris), Patricia Lefever (Dennis), five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Paul and preceded by his sister Lorraine. He retired as Director of Engineering after 40 years at the Detroit Tap & Tool Company, a division of the old Michigan Tool Co. He then worked as a Senior Consulting Engineer at the Jarvis Tool Company in New Hampshire. He was published in number of journals and holds a number of patents for his designs. He enjoyed boating, fishing and spending winters in Florida. A man of humor, wit, courage, and achievement, he was loved and respected by all who knew him and will live on forever in their hearts.
