Giroloma “Mona” Maynard, age 80, passed away on January 14, 2022. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to her dear parents Nicolo’ Russel Candela and Graza Marie Oliveri Candela. Mona is survived by her loving children: Arthur (Alisha) Tucker Jr., Lawrence Tucker, Kristine (Claudio) Junge; grandchildren: Ty, Ashleigh, NiKlaus, Andres, Julian; siblings: Patroneila Battaglia, Grace Bourcier, Mary Wycoff, Christopher Candela, Nicholas Candela, Augustino Candela; and her longtime friend Ted Menke. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Vincent Candela, Joseph Candela, Florence Siopes, and ex-husband Arthur Tucker Sr. Mona was a loving mother and grandmother; she was also vibrant and full of life. Always on the go, she enjoyed going for walks, dancing and spending time with family and friends. She worked at Bon Secour Nursing Home for many years, starting when they first opened their doors, and retiring in 2007 at the age of 65.
Mona will lie instate on Friday January 28, 2022, beginning at 10:30 am, until time of mass at 11:00 am, at St. Lucy Catholic Church 23401 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48080.
Visitation will be held on Thursday January 27, 2022, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
