Gerald "Jerry" Louis Schuck, 71, of Fraser, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2024. Born in Detroit to Louis and Jeanne Schuck, Jerry's life was a testament to the joy of making connections and the love of family and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Jeanne, and his sister, Linda Serruys. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Colleen (Kronner) Schuck; stepdaughter, Melanie Secciani (Paolo) and step grandchildren, Antonio, Jesse, and Adriano, all of Florence, Italy. His memory will also be cherished by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and the extended Kronner family, who embraced him as one of their own.
Jerry's love for life was evident in his fondness for Russell Island, where he spent many cherished summers. Described by his friend Homer Feamster as "A man who never met a stranger," Jerry's warm and welcoming nature made him a friend to all.
His journey took him from Michigan to Hawaii, California, and Wisconsin before he returned home in 1983. Along the way, Jerry's love for sports was a constant, passionately following the Detroit Tigers, Lions, University of Michigan football, the Red Wings, and the Pistons. It was at a Pistons game that he met his soulmate, Colleen. Married in 1998, Jerry and Colleen's shared love for sports, music, travel, and family became the cornerstone of their life together.
Jerry's legacy is one of love, friendship, and the simple joy of living. As we remember him, let his memory inspire us to embrace life with the same openness and warmth he showed to every person he met.
