Gasperina Mary Oliveri Rizzo

Gasperina (Mary) Rizzo (née Oliveri) died peacefully in her home on April 4, 2016 surrounded by loved ones in St. Clair Shores, MI at the age of 91. Mary is survived by her sons Gary Rizzo and Ronald (Kathy) Rizzo, grandsons Michael and Christopher Rizzo, her sister Catherine (Kaye) Valenti and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by Salvatore J. Rizzo, her husband of 62 years. Mary was born on September 17, 1924 in Detroit Michigan. Prior to her marriage Mary worked as a Rosie the Riveter in Detroit. Mary was a loving, devoted homemaker and mother. Mary was an active and dedicated member of the St. Gertrude Senior Club and a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Church in St. Clair Shores. Visitation will be held on April 8th from 3:00 to 9:00 pm at Kaul Funeral Home in St. Clair Shores with the Prayer service/Rosary at 7 pm. The Celebration of Life service will take place April 9th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in St. Clair Shores with a viewing beginning at 9:30.
