It has been my honor and pleasure to be in relationship/friendship with Frank for the last 40 years. Even though our lives, many times, went in opposite directions, it made getting together that more memorable.  I enjoyed my time with him fishing, hunting, and just watching the deer as we looked out the window at Waydam; always waiting in anticipation of seeing that "thurdy" point buck grace us with his majesty and spirit of the wild.  Frank enjoyed deer camp to the max, and was at home in the forests and on the waters of this magnificent State.  He definetly enjoyed the cuisine of the hunting camp, especially the turkey dinner prepared the night before opening day.  And let's not forget all the desserts he loved at the hunter's dinner in Crystal Falls!  

I can tell you that this man loved his wife, his children and adored his grandchildren.  

Deer camp will be very different without him, but we will move forward and carry on, just as he would want us to do.  In our hearts and memories Frank, you will always be with us. However, your physical prescence, conversation, and laughter, I will miss very much!

I am devastated to hear of Frank's passing. I will always remember him as a wonderful family man who knew how to laugh and bring a smile to everyone. His legacy is evident in the beautiful family he leaves behind. Sending all of my love and sympathy in this truly difficult time.

Sorry for the loss of your opa. I will keep you in my prayers.

We are so sorry to hear about your loss and apologize for not being able to make the viewing.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.  This Thanksgiving may all of you find comfort in the many reasons you are thankful to have known and loved Frank.

I met Frank many years ago, when Zach and Jennie started dating.  We sat in a room at the Hillsdale Motel and spent a while visiting.  I knew immediately that this was a man who I liked.  If his daughter was anything like him then my son met someone special.  Over the years I saw him everytime I got the chance to visit Michigan. Frank became a good friend and always made me feel like I was an important part of the family. We had some special times as he took me around the area trying different golf courses.  I think he was always looking for a "home field advantage".  You will be missed my golf buddy and friend.

I know that Frank will leave a huge hole in the lives of everyone who knew him -- especially his family. I knew him as someone who always smiled, always joked, always seemed to be happy. He faced life's challenges with faith, grace, and humor. He was a wonderful soul, and this world feels a little darker now, without him in it. Frank, I know you will keep shining your light on those precious loved ones you've left behind. May they always feel you close by.

Dear Opa,

Let me start this off my saying thank you. Thank you for being there for me, thank you for loving me, thank you for being the best Opa I could ever hope for. Most importantly, thank you for all the memories. I have so many great memories with you. I love you so much. No one can really understand how much I love you. I'm going to miss you so much. I can't imagine life without you because you've always been there for me. There's so much more I want to say, but I'm just going to leave it here. There will always be a huge part of my heart saved for you. You are my hero. I hope to see you again someday. I am so blessed to have known you. I love you.

Dear opa I hope you have a good time in heaven

Hey, Opa, it's Mark. I hope you're having a good time in heaven. I will miss all the neat things we did like fishing, spending the night and watching football, playing dice and stuff. Don't worry about Oma, I figured I would do a lot of community service for her for awhile like mowing the lawn and shoveling the driveway. Maybe if she has a party I will help clean for her. Wish I could see you now. Bye.

Frank, you have been a part of my life since I was 10 years old.  Having 3 older sisters I always wanted a big brother and that is exactly what you were to me. I have a favorite memory to share that some of you may know. When I was 13 or 14 years old Erika and Frank took me up north canoeing.  Frank had been canoeing the Au Sable River for years and took great pride in never flipping the canoe. Until me. Jennie, Aaron and Maggie I apologize because I know you heard that story every time your family went canoeing for years. Well, Frank thanks for the memories. I love you and you will always be close in my heart. Erika and kids know I love you and am here for you. I may not say it or show it but know I love you all.
