Donald W. Watson

Donald Watson age 75. Born in Detroit on February 22, 1939, the son of Edward and Irene Watson, he graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1957 and went to work for his dad at Pella Window. He remained in the window business for 40 years, mostly with Weathervane Window and Door. Don married his high school sweetheart Regina and they had 3 sons Brian, Alan and Jeffery. He was a lifelong resident of Saint Clair Shores and owned a boat all his life, as did his father who was known as “Pappy” and his brother Rob. Don was a former member of the Jefferson Yacht Club for many years, acting as fleet captain many of those summers. He was a founding member of the “Tiki Bay Yacht Club” at the floating docks in Island Harbor Marina, where he enjoyed hours of stories and laughter with his long-time friends. He had the uncanny ability to choose winners in any sporting event. In fact he never lost a bet. Please join us in celebration of Don’s life and bring your stories. They seem to get better as time goes on. Memorial visitation will be in Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 5-7 pm.
