Hearing of Cathy's passing breaks my heart.  I had the pleasure of working with her for 12 years and the kindness and support she provided me was amazing ..  but she was also one of the most wonderful people I've met in my life.  Her warmth and her unique laugh will always stay with me.  My sincest condolences to all her family and friends.

Our hearts are broken at the passing of our dear friend. 

For many years, Cathy was the loving partner of my brother, Bill.  She loved him and laughed with him, they traveled together and shared many great times.  During his lengthy illness and in his final days, Cathy selflessly cared for Bill.  We will always be grateful for the devotion that she showed to him.   After his death, we remained close and she was a treasured friend to us. 

We extend our most sincere condolences to the Peitz family as they mourn their beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt and great-aunt ... and to Lisa as she grieves for her dearest friend.

It's really shocking and heartbreaking that you will no longer be walking into my classroom with that sweet little smile on your face. The students and I are so grateful we've gotten the chance to experience your aura for those short weeks. I pray that you had the chance to smile one last time. We are so sorry that Cathy was taken so suddenly. We have had many conversations about Harsens Island. She was so kind to all of her neighbors. Praying her family feels Gods comfort and peace.

Dear Aunt Cathy, 

I'm so sad that you passed so soon. I wish I could have seen you again before you passed. I love you so much and I will miss you so much. 

We are deeply sadden to have heard this news about our loving Island neighbor especially when I just spoke with you last week. We were all excited for this summer on Harsens and the new memories we were going to create with the new addition (our daughter Faye). We had so many plans on expanding our properties to contribute to the island family. I can only imagine you are watching sunrises with our Dads! Say hi to Nelson and my Dad for me. Cathy we will miss your smile and all the stories you’d share about our Dads getting into mischief together. We promise to carry on Nelson’s and you memory like we talked about!

Always a lovely person.  Never without a smile.  I’ve known Cathy for over 35 years my heart goes out to her family and to Lisa Torrice her longest and dearest best friend.  Rest in peace Cathy you will be terribly missed.  

I was stunned and saddened to hear about Cathy's passing. We're so sorry for your loss and you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Cathy was a wonderful human and she'll be missed by so many. I'm happy and grateful for the time I got to spend with her years ago.

I find some peace and comfort in thinking about her and my Dad being reunited. Together again on the water, soaking up the sun, sharing a laugh (and drink) or two, and catching up on the last 14 years.
