Today I took some time to reflect back on some nice memories, and Bill was hands down there.  I’ll never forget the first time we met, I was doing a summer job at the office he worked at. A  nervous, scared wreck I was all of 15 years old... My first day on my first break leaving to grab a coffee (I probably looked like I was made of lego and felt so out of place) Bill comes around the corner to get the elevator as well, he ever so cordially introduces himself, asks me a few questions, by the time we were downstairs he had me laughing and feeling so at ease, we grabbed our coffees together, had more laughs, and then such a scary day turned into a great day.  Every summer I worked there throughout my high school years, he was one of my work buddies, someone that made a boring desk job  fun. I actually started to look forward to my summers working there. All the hilarious stories and jokes we would share, that were just ours.  Bill also taught me so much, not only about working in the office but life in general, the real world.  He was very wise, in all aspects. He helped to expand my mind and ways of thinking, he taught me it was totally alright to be different, curious and to not let people or things beyond my control drag me down. Bill you are beautiful inside and out... I will always miss you. I give my thoughts, prayers and love to all the family.

One of the most poignant memories I have of Will was the times we shared together at a dear old artist friend of ours named Gordon McNamara in the 90’s. Many a warm lit evening we sat in his mahogany-hued, studio-like living room with its profound sense of artistic history recounting funny stories and gossipy tales for Gordon’s benefit. Gordon enjoyed this very much and there were many times we made him throw his head back with generous laughter. But nobody could make Gordon laugh like Will. Nobody. He had a wonderful, wicked sense of humour. And that smile. That brilliant wattage smile. Those memories are among the fondest I have of Will. And Gordon too. I miss them both very much and it saddens me that they have passed on from this world. They were both two bright shining lights and I feel the world is a little duller now without their beautiful spirits. What brings me comfort, however, is knowing that Will is somewhere keeping company with Gordon—wherever they may be—making him laugh and telling him fantastic and funny tales once again. Rest in peace, dear Will, you are very much missed.

I was lucky enough to know Bill for almost 15 years. He was a light always. His smile would light up an entire room.
He was kind and full of compassion.
He will be missed.

Bill was usually the first person I'd see and say 'good morning' to at work these past few years.  He was always in a good mood and we'd often chat about our evening prior and what trashy television shows we had watched.  I will miss starting off my day like that!

Bill Woodruff, you were so loved by all who knew you.  I doubt you even realized the magnitude of lives you touched.  We are all very blessed to have known you.  Until we meet again, my friend! 

The first time I met Bill was in the laundry room of our building.  I had just moved to Toronto and knew very few people.  He was so friendly and helpful in showing me how to use the equipment.  He had me laughing in 5 minutes.  

When we left to catch the elevator, we found out we lived on the same floor and were neighbors.   We became wonderful friends after that and Bill took me under his wing and showed me Toronto and introduced me to his many friends and family Sally and Alan and the Buxton clan. 

The thing I remember most about Bill is his kindness and the way we laughed uncontrollably whenever we were together.  Laughter that brought tears to our eyes. 

My tears today are filled with sadness, losing Bill, never seeing his sweet smile or hearing his giggle again.   I will always keep his memory close to my heart and will love him forever.

What words can I say to you that we haven't already said my forever loving best friend and soulmate on this earth?

Your radiance shone brighter than the brightest star. Your essence is etched forever in my soul. The way that you sparkled in every room you walked into - and the way you made every single person that knew you feel like they were the center of a loving universe - is like nothing I have ever met.

I will miss you forever, Bill....it is the ongoing memory of your love that will forever keep me strong even on the days ahead without you that I know will be so incredibly heavy to pass through.

You, are wihout a doubt, one of the most special people I have ever known in this lifetime and missing you is a reminder of just how much you were loved by all you did in your time here.

You are forever blessed - until we meet again for another soul hug that only can be shared with you. P.S. right after that I'll tickle you until you can't stand up for leaving me here first.

I met Bill when i was just a baby. He was and will always be in my heart, he was family to me. I will love him forever and always. I'm going to miss you pal.

We are all saddened by the death of a dear friend who will always remain part of the Lease Administration Corp family.

Bill spent over 23 years with LAC and we will always remember him as a good-natured, fun-loving and hard-working member of our family.  The ability to make people feel good about themselves is very rare; Bill was blessed with an abundance of this attribute and shared it with everyone that he came into contact with in everyday life.

Although we will miss Bill very much, our memories of this young man will live on in our hearts and prayers.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Bill since he started working with Lease Administration Corporation in 1993.  We’ve been through so much together. We were a family.  He was always there to give you a hug and make you smile. He genuinely cared about everyone. 

He was so knowledgeable and friendly to deal with.  He was loved by everyone he worked with. 

Socially, Bill was the life of the party. We had so many good times together.   Looking at the hundreds of pictures we have over years brings me comfort. I will cherish those memories forever.

I worked with Bill at Maxium for a few years. He was the sunshine in my day, he was my confidant, shoulder to cry on and my friend. I miss him horribly and will always think if him; with his infectious smile, his belly laugh and his sweet unbiased soul.

I was slowly walking down the sidewalk on my way to work this morning. I took a deep breath and looked at the sky. I was hoping to see your face in the clouds. But then it started to rain in isolated spits and spats. I know that the gentle summer shower raindrops should feel like shimmering mist of fine spray; but the pain of knowing that you’re already gone made the rain feel like whole sheets of water, raw emotions slicing diagonally all around me.

Your sudden passing created a whole in many people’s hearts. Your LIFE has been a beautifully written song. You always seek the highest good in every soul. You have inspired and refreshed people’s spirits towards PRIDE.

“Oh my friend Bill, can you hear me now?” Thank you for coming into my life. I will always value the essence of our great friendship, beyond common interests, beyond wit and laughter, beyond love and kindness.

I had the pleasure of working with Bill at Maxium for several years. Bill brought such joy to every person he came in contact with and he quickly became the hub of support and caring for all staff that came in contact with him. I am so saddened by the news of his passing and my thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones that are left behind heartbroken. I will not be able to attend this week but my thoughts are with you.
