Vicky was born on April 5 1939, and passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 15, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Vicky is survived by her husband of 65 years, George Deliman, her three sons Tim (Sherry), Mike (Brenda), Jason (Melanie) and her brother/sister-in law John and Terry Deliman. Vicky was a loving grandmother to seven, a great grandmother to three, and a fun aunt to many nieces and nephews. Vicky was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Gladys, brothers Gary and David Jarvis and survived by brothers Ken (Glenda) and Richard Jarvis and their families.
Vicky was fun loving and socially active, who loved meeting people and had many friends through sorority, curling, lawnbowling, the Mountainview United Church, her boys’ sports, and through her work at General Motors, Perfect Portions, and Syd Silver. Vicky was a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and celebrated Christmas with her sorority sisters on the day of her passing. Vicky and George loved the blues and spent their Saturday’s dancing away at local establishments. Vicky was an avid gardener, a wonderful canner (especially her dill pickles and beets), and through her adopted European heritage, she was a master of the cabbage roll and the meatstick.
The family thanks the hospital staff for their support and care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Vicky’s name to Start Me Up Niagara or Women’s Place of South Niagara, or a charity of your choice.
