Shirley Joan McCormack Anderson

At Hospice Niagara in St. Catharines, on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in her 77th year, surrounded by her devoted family. Remembered by her loving husband Al of 56 years, her daughters Lynn (Brian) Unger and Lori (Al) Marsh. Cherished grandmother of Jeff (Katie) Unger, Katelyn (Scott) Dennison and her great-grandson, the apple of her eye, Jackson Jeffery Unger. Predeceased by her beloved son Lee Anderson in 1992. Sister of Jim and Gord McCormack, sister in law of Les Anderson and their families. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Best friend and cousin of Colleen Schinkel.

Shirley was employed with Sears for 25 years and had regular luncheons with the girls she worked with. She was an avid golfer who spent most of her winters with Al in Hawaii golfing. She had a passion for gardening, reading and discovering her family heritage by traveling to Scotland. She spent her last few months at Hospice Niagara, deeply cared for by the amazing staff and volunteers.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines (905-684-6346). A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Cremation will follow with interment at a later date in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
