Jamie Adereti (Prince Jamie Babjidai Scott-Adereti) died on Friday, November 22, 2024 at the age of 36 in St. Catharines, Ontario. He was the common-law husband of Meagan Rose Roy and happily shared the last four years together with the woman he adored.
Jamie was born in East York, Ontario on October 18, 1988. He is the son of Alexis Scott and James Adereti, Step-Son of Abdelhak Makhoukhi and brother of Casandra Scott Barrett.
Jamie was a rebel and a justice warrier. If he was your friend he was loyal to a fault, willing to sacrifice himself for the wellbeing of those he loved. He was a gentle giant and he was loved and will be missed by all those who truly knew him. Jamie confronted many challenges throughout his life, and overcame much, though he never felt welcome in this world and now he is at peace.
He has predeceased his mother, Alexis, his father, James, his sister Casandra, his “cuz” Shamira, and “fams” Chris (Uggs), his Aunt Tracy, cousins Chris and Nicole, Aunt Deb, cousins Charlotte, Victoria and William, his Aunt Tokumbo/Rachel and a large extended Nigerian family.
Friends and Family will be received at Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines, Ontario from 12:00pm - 1:00pm. A funeral service will begin at 1:00pm in the chapel.
