Ian H. Russell passed away surrounded by family at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Saturday February 20th, 2016, in his eighty-third year. Survived by Joan his loving wife of 57 years. Father of Frances and her fiancé Lonny, Daniel and his wife Tanya, proud Papa of three beautiful granddaughters “his girls”: Baden, Trinity, Danya, and granddog “Lola”.
Ian was actively involved in the community as a member of Maple Leaf Lodge No.103 A.F. & A.M., G.R.C. ( 55 years), Scottish Rite of The Valley of Thunder Bay (53 years), The St.Catharines and District Shrine Club for (50 years), Grantham Lions Club (Recipient of Helen Keller Award), The Probius Club of St. Catharines, St. Catharines Golf and Country Club, St.Catharines Business Club, St. Catharines Ad & Sales Club, St. Catharines Club, CNIB, First Grantham United Church, and Ridley College Alumni OR’52. Former owner of Hulse and English Funeral Home and a funeral director for over 50 years. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
